Quick update

Hi all,

I've been speaking informally with friends and acquaintances in the tech
scene locally, and everybody seems to agree that the time is right for a
Devops conference here in Paris. The groundswell is most definitely
there - we just need to put this basic desire into action.

I've also gotten in touch with the DevOpsDays Italy organisers. There
are some things we could learn from what they're doing (both good and
bad), and I think it'd be a good idea to at least have an opportunity to
see how the event unfolds, and perhaps talk to them in person during /
after the event. In fact, I ended up submitting a presentation, so if
that's accepted I'll clearly be going ; however, even if the talk is not
chosen, I'm going to try to attend anyway.

Liam had some good ideas (imho), especially regarding creating a simple
MailChimp mailing list - especially considering the fact that it's free,
which is most certainly a price we can afford right now. ;) How does
everybody feel about that ?

Hi, Daniel

On my side, i get in touch with a friend who made a lots of events in the
tech domain.
He is actually busy acting on http://www.mobility-for-business.com
nevertheless, he could certainly help us to grow from the ground !

=> Gwen, please subscribe to the devops.france@librelist.com mailing list.
We need you !

If devops.france ML on librelist stay there for organization management,
the creation of a User mailing list on Mailchimp could be a great idea.
As Liam my previous experience with the Mailchimp tool was excellent.

=> I suggest to start a new thread on librelist for a form workshop to
identify the good form items.
so Liam could then find inputs to get the things done.

Let's get a early valued feedback from the devops community !

Regards,
