Is conkeror being maintained/developed anymore?

Is conkeror being maintained/developed anymore?

It seems like development of conkeror has become stagnant. Not much seems
to be happening in the way of commits.. Is conkeror 2.0 planned to be
released? Or is that out of the question at this point?

PS: not trying to criticize anyone. conkeror is very usable at this point
and still the best browser I have come across. I just would love to be able
to split frames horizontally and vertically so I can view multiple buffers
at once.

Thanks!

Currently John Foerch is our most active developer. He responds both here
and on G+ (https://plus.google.com/communities/106737437567911832239) when
he can. He has outlined some plans for the next version but,
understandably, it all depends on how much life intervenes. :)

Hello,

2.0 is over the horizon at this point, I think. I do have some interest
in making small improvements to Conkeror, fixing some standing bugs, and
moving toward a 1.0 release, but I no longer see Mozilla as being a
sensible platform for some of the larger goals like a web browser that
truly behaves like Emacs.

Out of curiosity, what platform is 2.0 being built on?

I would love to see a Chrome implementation of what Conkeror has
accomplished with Mozilla. I might even be motivated to contribute my
meager talents to such an endeavor <smile/>.
