showing page-mode on mode line

showing page-mode on mode line

Dear Conkerors,

Thanks to the documentation, I've been able to deactivate some page
modes that were getting in the way. However it was a bit
nontrivial to guess their names.

How can I make the mode line show what page-mode(s) are currently
enabled? That would be a natural thing to display there.

Thank you!

Silvio

They are shown in the minibuffer/echo area. Perhaps you are using
auto-hide-minibuffer.js?

No, but thank you for suggesting this. There was some other code in my
.conkerorrc messing things up.

A minor related question. A distinction is made between activating and
enabling at http://conkeror.org/PageModes. How can I, while I'm on an
already loaded page -- say http://superuser.com/questions/654133 --
disable its page mode? There is no page_mode_disable, and
page_mode_deactivate won't have an effect until I reload the page --
but often you can't reload the page without modifying or destroying
the content!
