Flash and the BBC website

Flash and the BBC website

Hello,

I'm running a Debian Jessie system on which conkeror seems to be
launched thus:

    /usr/bin/iceweasel -app /usr/share/conkeror/application.ini

When trying to view any video on the BBC website, for example

    http://www.bbc.com/news/video_and_audio/

the viedo does not play. However, the same video can be viewed
successfully with iceweasel (which, IIUC, is using exactly the same
flash plugin).

I also have a machine running Debian Wheezy, where conkeror seems to be
running on top of xulrunner 10. The video fails to play on this system
too. However, I'm 95% certain that on this system the BBC videos played
without any problem around 2 weeks ago, and that I have not upgraded any
packages on the system in the meantime.

Any suggestions on how to proceed to find a solution?

Thanks.

Yeah, "-app" seems to work less properly than xulrunner despite
at least some people at Mozilla believe otherwise.

I'm really unhappy that xulrunner gets more and more killed.

Then your Wheezy system is not uptodate. Since xulrunner-10.0 has been
removed from Wheezy I was forced to update the package to work with
xulrunner-24.0 (previous ESR version). Not sure how about the next ESR
version...

That's strange.

Unfortunately not at the moment.

		Kind regards, Axel
